Academician Shizhong Yang is a professor, a supervisor of postgraduate candidates, and an expert who has made outstanding contribution to the state.            

      Graduated from Chongqing University in 1960, Prof. Yang now is the leader of the national key and chief subject of “electrical engineering theory and new technology”, the chief scientist of state “211 project”, “985 project”, and “key lab of aerocraft telemetry and telecontroling information transmission technology”, the senior technical advisor of Military Scientific and Technological Commission of the Headquarters of the General Staff, a Fellow of Chinese Institute of Electronics, and a Fellow of China Institute of Communications.   

     The academician Yang has been worked in the front line of teaching and research, scaled the height of science and made many original achievements in TTC, communication, radar and other areas. As the first author, he has won 6 prizes of National Science and Technology Advancement and National Invention. Besides, he has won the HE LIANG HE LI science and technology Advancement prize, GUANG HUA science and technology prize and 7 provincial or ministerial prizes. He has held 5 state patents for invention, published 2 monographs and more than 100 academic papers and design reports. So far, he has cultivated more than 100 graduate students, postgraduates and doctors. 

      He was granted a national “May 1” labor medal, a model of national teachers, a China universities advanced worker, a model worker in the national education system and an honor badge devoted to Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, a first class merit of ministry of Astronautics, a special-grade contribution to Chongqing University, and a construction hero of Chongqing ten-year’s celebration and a special prize of excellent teachers of Baogang funds for education.
