IEEE International Conference on Communication and Information Systems 2021

On October 15, 2021 5th International Conference on Communication and Information Systems (ICCIS 2021) was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel. Due to the continuous impact of Covid-19, this three-day conference was held in a combination of online and offline. The conference was hosted by Chongqing University, undertaken by the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, and co-organized by Chongqing University of Technology. The conference attracted more than 70 experts and scholars from more than 10 countries including the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, China, South Korea, the Philippines, and Norway. Under the conditions of normalization of epidemic prevention and control, the conference was successfully held on October 17, which is a safe, exciting, and fruitful international exchange event in the field of communication and information systems.

2021 5th International Conference on Communication and Information Systems invited many internationally renowned experts in communication and information systems to participate in the conference. The conference was chaired by Professor Tian Fengchun from the college, Professor Anu Gokhale from Illinois State University, Professor Zhao Mingfu, Vice Dean of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Chongqing University of Technology, and Professor Liang Anhui from Shandong University of Science and Technology as the Vice Chairpersons of the conference. At the same time, the conference also invited the following experts to deliver keynote reports: Kin K. Leung, Professor of Imperial College London, IEEE Fellow, and Member of the European Academy of Sciences; Professor of the University of Delaware, IEEE Fellow, Xiang-Gen Xia; Honorary Professor of Nihon Kogakuin University, Professor of Shanghai University in China, IEEE Life Fellow, Koichi Asatani and other 5 experts.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, Professor Liu Min, the deputy dean of the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the school and the college, and extended sincere greetings to all the guests attending the conference. At the same time, she introduced the history and advantages of Chongqing University and wished the conference get a complete success. Afterwards, Professor Anu Gokhale from Illinois State University in the United States gave an opening speech, introducing the preparation, review, and recruitment of the conference, and expressed sincere thanks to the experts of the various committees who participated in the review and organization of the conference during the preparation of the conference.

In addition to the keynote reports of 5 experts, this conference also covered 6 branch seminars. The topics were: radio and data transmission, data communication and network engineering, modern electronic systems and technology, computer vision and image processing, etc. Contains 1 offline club and 5 online clubs. Associate Professor Cai Yueping and Associate Professor Han Liang respectively served as the chairpersons of the branch. After review by the chairmen of each branch, 6 best reports were finally selected, and the winners were announced in the closing speech of the meeting.
