Professor Li Erping's Team from Zhejiang University Came to Our School for Academic Exchanges

At the invitation of the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering of Chongqing University, on the afternoon of June 15, 2021, the team of Professor Li Erping from Zhejiang University came to our school for academic exchanges. Professor Li Erping is the Qiushi Chair Professor and IEEE Fellow of the School of Information and Electronic Engineering, Zhejiang University. Professor Li Erping also founded the Zhejiang University-University of Illinois Joint College (ZJU-UIUC Institute) and served as the first dean.

Professor Li Erping brought an academic lecture entitled "5.5G Reconstructed Antenna Architecture and Thinking on Electromagnetic Compatibility" at this exchange meeting, which attracted many teachers and students from the Department of Information Science to attend the meeting.

The academic exchange lecture was hosted by Professor Yida from the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, and he expressed a warm welcome to Professor Li Erping's arrival. Professor Li Erping first introduced the development history of microwave communication, and combined his rich experience in many years of work, shared his understanding of the development status of the microwave communication field from the level of teaching and educating people and the level of industrial development. After that, Professor Li Erping gave a comprehensive interpretation of the current various solutions for reconfiguring the antenna architecture and their existing problems, and gave some prospects for the current new solutions, such as reconfigurable technology based on frequency modulation. Outlook. Furthermore, Professor Li Erping introduced his team's many research work in the electromagnetic compatibility design of the integration of frequency selective surface and reconfigurable antenna, and demonstrated his team's latest research progress in full-angle radome. Finally, Professor Li Erping shared his valuable experience on how young teachers and teams choose scientific research directions and how to carry out scientific research work.

During the meeting, Professor Li Erping's humorous language and vivid explanations impressed the participants. His unique perspectives and opinions also enlightened and benefited a lot. After the report, everyone enthusiastically asked questions and had in-depth exchanges with Professor Li Erping in areas of interest. The exchange ended smoothly in a warm atmosphere.
